Summer Skincare

During the summer, many have found that it can actually cause more redness, irritation, dryness, and other skin related problems. They say that skincare is that much harder not only because of pollution, but also because of dryer air, the sunlight of course, and other excess problems. Many spend more time outside, some spend time in salt water, which can exfoliate. But at the same time, it can dry out the skin and cause other issues. So how do you address problems with summer skincare?

First of all, you use more sunscreen. Obviously, when you go out for a day at the beach, apply sunscreen regularly. But in addition to that, many have found that in all actuality, you do need to wear sunscreen when you are driving and during other times that most do not actually think of. Essentially speaking, if you want to be on the safe side, whenever you step outside, you should be wearing sunscreen. It doesn’t matter if it is a sunny or cloudy day. Looks can be deceiving, and the cloudy days are some of the most dangerous unfortunately.

Second, you should be sure to moisturize regularly. I would suggest a strong and effective water based moisturizer. Sometimes, oil based moisturizers can clog the pores and cause multiple other problems. But when you use a water based moisturizer, it is completely natural to the skin. It is light, and yet it is also entirely effective as compared to so many others. When it comes to a water based moisturizer, you are far less likely to experience allergies or other problems, and you are more likely to see potentially amazing results.

Third, exfoliate regularly. This is something we often forget about in any given season. But exfoliation is absolutely essential to real success. This gets rid of dead and even damaged skin cells, and it stimulates the production in the skin of new skin cells, collagen and elastin, and it stimulates the blood flow to certain areas of the skin. This will help you to maintain significantly healthier skin as a whole.

And finally, remember to use a night cream. Regardless of your age, night creams have certain repairing properties. They can be extremely beneficial, and without question, while you are protecting your skin during the day, night creams can repair damage that may have penetrated your methods of skin protection. When you use this as the final step in any season, it can be that difference between success and failure.
